Chasing Waterfalls in Bali
Where I Stayed in Munduk, Bali
Tucked away in the lush highlands of North Bali, Munduk felt peaceful, untouched, and completely different from the busier parts of the island. One of the highlights of my stay was discovering this beautiful waterfall, located within walking distance of Munduk Moding Plantation, where I stayed surrounded by tropical gardens, coffee trees, and breathtaking mountain scenery.
Munduk Moding Plantation was truly out of this world. Every corner of the resort felt like something straight out of a movie. Its iconic infinity pool overlooks rolling tropical hills, creating the illusion that it disappears into the clouds. At sunset, the sky transforms into the most beautiful shades of pink, making the view even more magical.
The private pool villas are even more breathtaking than the main infinity pool. Tucked away in the lush greenery, they offer complete privacy and make you feel as though you're staying in your own secluded jungle paradise. From the incredible food and warm hospitality to the peaceful atmosphere, every detail was thoughtfully designed. It genuinely feels like you're living in a dream. This is one of my top recommendations for anyone visiting Bali, and for everything this resort offers, I honestly would have expected to pay twice the price.
Exploring the property and discovering this hidden waterfall was one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Bali. The sound of the rushing water, the dense tropical greenery, and the peaceful surroundings made it feel like a secret paradise tucked away in the mountains.
During my time in Bali, I also stayed at Hanging Gardens of Bali, a spectacular mountainside resort that is home to one of the world's most famous infinity pools. After experiencing it for myself, I completely understood why it has earned such an incredible reputation. Many of the private villas feature their own infinity pools overlooking the lush jungle, where you can often spot monkeys swinging effortlessly through the treetops from branch to branch.
This resort felt like the ultimate honeymoon escape, offering an intimate, peaceful atmosphere with a luxurious, dreamlike ambiance. The name Hanging Gardens couldn't be more fitting. It reminded me of what I imagine the mythical Hanging Gardens of Eden would look like—a true masterpiece of nature, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, towering mountains, cascading jungle, and endless shades of vibrant green. Every view felt like a living work of art, making it one of the most magical places I experienced in Bali.
Although each resort offers a completely different experience, both felt equally magical in their own way. Together, they made my time in this beautiful part of Bali truly unforgettable.
